About Donnie Whetstone
Donnie is a professional fitness trainer with nearly 20 years of experience compiling over 70,000 client hours ranging from homes to commercial gyms to personal training studios. He has owned two personal training branches in Gold’s Gym Olympia and Tacoma and a 2000 sq ft private personal training facility, 3PD Fitness Inc. Donnie has employed and trained over 50 personal trainers and nutritional consultants in both the U.S and Canada. Donnie is currently co-owner of Thurston County's best and only 24 hr personal training facility, Fit Stop 24 located in West Olympia. (To tour facility go to photos)

His weight training experience spans 35 years. He has won 20 bodybuilding titles, is a two time national competitor and in 2002 he won three overall major regional titles at age 42. His additional sports background includes Football, Track and Field, Wrestling and Judo.

Donnie served 12 years in both the U.S Marine Corps and U.S Army holding leadership positions in 10 of his 12 years of service. He is self educated with 35 years of research and practical application in the areas of weight training, nutrition, sports conditioning and general health and wellness. Donnie attended both Marine Corps and Army instructor schools in addition to the Army's primary thru advanced leadership development schools. These life expereances form a rock solid foundation of leadership, motivation, knowledge and instructional skills Donnie uses on a daily basis with his clients.

Donnie has written numerous articles on nutrition, weight training and fitness appearing in news papers, magazines and the internet. His intellectual properties include the patented Flat Top barbell/dumbbell training support bench, a business and personal nutrition software copyright, the patent pending Easy Reach handles and a patent pending training system.

Personal training is a profession I was born to do. I ve been training nearly 20 years performing tens of thousands of training hours and I never seem to get tired of it. That may sound strange to some people and that may also sound strange to some trainers. However, anyone who has a deep passion for something can relate to what I'm saying. From the moment we step on the training floor, my clients know they're in the best of hands and soon have complete confidence in me and my training system...You will too.

My training approach can be summed up in one statement, "Hit it and Quit it!" I'm a sociable guy with a great sense of humor but that is not why clients pay me. I keep it short, keep it productive, keep it safe, keep it fun, keep it consistant, motivate!, motivate!, motivate! and get great results ASAP! that is why clients pay me.

My dietary approach is simple, manage your diet..don't let your diet manage you. It takes 2 things to make managing any diet successful, you must like what your eating and what your eating must be easily accessible. My strategy is to remove any and all reasons for a client not to follow their dietary plan and bank on their commitment to their own success.

My client approach is based on two sets of needs. Clients need my knowledge, expereance, coaching and motivating skills and I need their commitment to success. No force can stop a client committed to their success and no trainer, however skilled, can succeed with a client who is not.
